Dancing With the Stars 2012

There is a lot of talk going on with the Dancing with the Stars 2012 season 15. I mean in itself, this fantastic show has been making top ratings—but an all-star season? Get ready for a phenomenal run this year!

Who are the contestants for Dancing with the Stars 2012 all-star edition? Which star will be partnered with his or her former dance partner? Who are the top contenders for the coveted trophy? I don’t know about you, but there are more than a few people who have blocked off their nights to make sure that they don’t miss an episode of DWTS that is sure to be entertaining as it is gripping.

Here are the pairings for the DWTS all-star edition:
Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke
Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Kelly Monaco and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya
Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff
Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough
Pamela Anderson and Tristan MacManus

The audience had a month to vote for who they wanted the wildcard spot to go to. It was either Carson Kressley, Kyle Massey and Sabrina Bryan. If you voted for the Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan, then you got what you wished for. She will be competing with the other contestants and is paired with talented dancer and choreographer, Louis van Amstel. Let’s see if she fares better with van Amstel than with her former partner Mark Ballas, now dancing with Bristol Palin.

The returning contestants are a mix of athletes and thespians, all obviously quite popular or controversial to the DWTS fan base. A few winners, runners-up have made it to the list, but there are also less than technically perfect dancers that are included, but are sure to spice things up.

Pamela Anderson was eliminated in season 10 after just 6 weeks, but her decidedly sizzling presence is expected to draw crowds, nay hoards of men in front of their television sets. Bristol Palin was constantly in the bottom of the leader board, but kept being voted back in. Controversies arose that it was thanks largely to her powerful mother’s influence, but Bristol manages to brush those rumors and come back with a smile.

Kirstie Alley has always been a favourite among fans. She not only improved her dancing skills week after week, she won second place in season 12—she also lost a lot of weight throughout the season inspiring a lot of women out there to take up dancing. Drew Lachey, winner of season 2 is expected to deliver amazing performances (his immensely entertaining country freestyle dance won favourite dance in 2011). However, many people are rooting for super hot French actor Gilles Marini to take home the mirror ball trophy. Marini was an early front runner in season 8, but narrowly lost to Shawn Johnson.

Who will win the Dancing with the Stars 2012 all star edition? Will it be a former winner, or will a new champion arise? You definitely won’t want to miss any of these exciting episodes!
